Mushrooms are one of the most amazing things on this planet and that was realized more than 3,000 years ago by the ancient Maya of Guatemala. In Maya Wildcraft we dive deep into the Maya and their penchant for mushrooms. The inspiration for this addition to Maya Wild was a stumbling-across of an old friend and his new project Fantastic Fungi – Louie always produces excellent work and now he’s focusing his lens on mushrooms – happy to see Louie’s also on the mushroom path. …which will include contributions from Dr. Paul Stamets, a giant on the modern mushroom path. The Maya started down the mushroom path thousands of years ago. Maya are famous for their mushrooms stones and mushroom references in Maya art and literature throughout their reign here in Guatemala.
